We are currently looking for a Director for our forthcoming production of Chekhov’s The Cherry Orchard. Rights are secured to present the David Lan translation, a slightly darker version of the comic-tragedy, first staged by the National Theatre in 2000 and directed by Trevor Nunn.

The production will be staged at Eastwood Park Theatre in Giffnock from Wed 21st – Sat 24th April 2010. Rehearsals are expected to commence the first week in February.

We are a lively community theatre company with our own premises, including both rehearsal studio and workshop space. GTP productions are created entirely in-house by a dedicated team of set builders, wardrobe department and props team. The company boasts a healthy membership of both seasoned amateur and professional actors, regularly employing from a pool of professional directors, which we now look to expand. Details of all applicants will be kept on file and considered for our future productions.
