Set in war-torn West Belfast in the early 190s, the play follows a day and night in the lives of three apparently ordinary women and how the haunting appearance of a young girl forces some shocking truths to be unexpectedly revealed.

This is Clare’s first time working with Giffnock Theatre Players, and she has loved every second of it. She set out when rehearsals began to make the show not just about these four Belfast women, but about all women who have had to survive conflict and create a sense of home in dangerous and difficult circumstances, trying to create a haven for their families from everything from war to austerity and social injustice. Women like these are everywhere – thank goodness for them.
